The meaning of what is being said is conveyed to the audience in another language. when the participants do not speak the language of the orator.

Consecutive interpreting – this mode of interpreting can be used at smaller meetings in various settings and with different types of organisations. The interpreter conveys the meaning of what has been said after each party has spoken for a few minutes.  The interpreter will take notes of a few key words and structure to aid his/her memory to accurately convey the spoken message.
